Need Router Set to Bridge Mode- Pending Static IP Assignment

I spoke with a rep this morning and a request was entered to assign a static IP. I also need the router set to bridge mode. Can this be done prior to the static IP assignment?

Hello lbush and welcome, If you need your Comcast Gateway in True Bridge Mode (TBM), then your staticIP routing will not be able to work, awa your LAN DHCP, NATTING, etc. Whenever you out any Industry Standard Gateway in TBM all internal routing is disabled with the ONLY exception being that your WAN DHCP address will be passed to your firewall or controlling router. Hope this helps you out.
